Educator • Strategist • Storyteller
Relentless optimist. Music-maker. Builder of belonging.
Zac Gondelman is a Jewish educator, songleader, and civic strategist based in Boston. A student at Brandeis University, Zac works at the intersection of Jewish life, public service, and community design. Whether leading prayer, producing events, or shaping national civic engagement strategy, his work centers on one goal: building spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Zac seeks to build systems and civic infrastructure that meet folks where they are—in our schools, synagogues, and community centers—and he believes we must do it with language and values people understand and love.
He has trained at the New England Conservatory of Music for over a decade and was named one of North America’s “Top 20 Jewish Stars” by Jewish Rock Radio. He’s led lifecycle rituals, music-infused services, and immersive learning experiences for synagogues, students, and national organizations alike. He served as the Student Intern at Temple Beth Elohim, the Brandeis Reform Chavurah Tefilah Coordinator, and Community Engagement Coordinator for Brandeis Hillel.
Beyond Jewish communal work, Zac has helped design civic and communications strategies at the highest levels of government. He’s worked as a White House Intern, a Presidential Advance Associate, and part of the team behind the largest fundraiser in Democratic Party history, and designing and executing Presidential events across the globe.
A classically trained musician and lifelong community builder, Zac believes meaningful change starts with radical inclusion, deep listening, and joyful connection. He’s passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy, storytelling, and systems that bring people together. He also loves baking French desserts, exploring new neighborhoods, and befriending every dog he meets.
